When the empowered began to roam the earth, empowered threats were there to fight for dominance. From the ashes, humanity survived, rebuilt and thrived. Under the thumb of The Agency, mankind lives on, oblivious to a dark underbelly of corruption. To make matters worse, those with power are conscripted against their will to fight for The Agency's interests. Dragged into a life of violence and danger, not everyone is willing to follow the rules.

Professor John Hill was such a man. The untimely death of his brother forced his hand and he swore to never follow those footsteps. To never bow down to the very people who let his brother die.
